The outage was caused by a failure of the two primary dark fiber lines between Düsseldorf and Velbert. Contrary to what had been agreed, the dark fiber provider had not implemented redundant routing for these lines.
Due to the failure of both fiber lines, both our connection to Düsseldorf (myLoc) and the backbone connections of our local carriers, NETMOUNTAINS and LWLCom, were interrupted.
Thanks to the swift response of our NOC and the data center operator NETMOUNTAINS, a third alternative, fully redundant line via a different carrier was brought online in a short period of time, allowing us to resume operations.
The original dark fibers are now back in service.
Details about the outage can be found in the traffic report from NETMOUNTAINS: https://status.netmountains.de/incident/907658

The problem has been largely resolved; the connection is now back up and running.
Currently, this is only available via a single path; the network provider is working to restore redundancy as quickly as possible.
- 업데이트업데이트
Currently, both dark fiber links to Düsseldorf are down, which also affects our upstream carriers in Velbert.
We are waiting for the issue to be resolved. We will get back to you as soon as we receive further information or have taken action.
- 조사 중조사 중
Our monitoring system has alerted us to a connection outage between the Düsseldorf and Velbert locations since 11:07 p.m.
We have already notified the dark fiber service provider and are awaiting a response.
During the outage, certain IP address ranges used at both locations are restricted or unavailable. We are currently working on a temporary solution until the problem is resolved.
Both links are currently affected.
